I've had some interesting conversations with people over the last 4 years of my raw life. Many of the comments and questions have become repititious. But last week, I was at a party and heard something new. It was so good that I thought I just had to share it!
Usually when people hear what I eat they do one of two things; 1) inquire about nutrients and what I actually eat or 2) confess their ill eating habits as if I am the food Chaplan. But this time I was caught by surprise. This time I was told what else I could eat!
Her eyes were serious. I wanted to laugh out loud but kept my demi pleasant smile in tact. The comment came after she quized me about my eating status, "So, you're Vegan?" she said with a sideways glance. She looked as if she was stuck back in time for a moment and then reported, "When my daughter (now 20) was in 3rd grade she had a teacher that was Vegan. Hmmm. Yes, how interesting" We were a small group of three, standing in a conversation pod in a sea of party goers. Then it came, the Tsunami of comments..."But I supose you could drink gasoline if you thought it was good for you."
I have to admit, I am not that far along the spiritual path the believe I could get all the nutrients I needed from gasoline. And, its a bit too refined for my tastes. Pun intented.
May you experience Peace today.
